Our perception and experiences heavily shape how we navigate our life, influencing our thoughts, feelings, and behavior. Therapy offers a space to examine and understand these perspectives and modify unhelpful patterns of thinking or behavior, leading to a more fulfilling life.
Michaela strives to create a supportive environment for self-discovery and growth, where openness and empathy help facilitate her clients journey. Building a trusting relationship is foundational to effective therapeutic outcomes. Through collaboration, Michaela aims to help you define your objectives and customize a treatment approach to suit your individual concerns.
Michaela received her B.S. in Psychology at Mercy University and a M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from NYU Steinhardt and has three years of clinical experience in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy and two years of experience in cognitive therapy, thus emphasizing evidence-based practices in her work. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Psychodynamic Theory, Michaela's integrative approach delves into the deep psychological factors which drive human behavior.
