I provide a compassionate and safe space for teens and adults who have experienced trauma, are facing struggles or challenges at work, school, at home, or within their interpersonal relationships. Oftentimes life events can alter how we see life, go through it, and experience it which results in changing one’s mood, perspective, emotions, behaviors, and needs.
In my work with clients, I have found that recognition of our triggers, behaviors, and emotions is the start to cultivating change and acceptance. Once we successfully overcome such things, we can begin to challenge our thoughts, emotions, and perceptions. Overall, the goal is to create a toolbox of skills we can possess towards taking control of our lives and maintaining our utmost mental health.
As the world is in constant change, it may seem as though we lose control. However, learning what is within our control and chipping away at those challenges through small active steps, make a world of a difference.
Over the past year I have been working in research and clinical work, providing treatment for anxiety, depression, and PTSD within adults. I love to take an approach where transformative tools and talk therapy are intertwined. I focus on interventions such Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Emotional Focused Therapy, aiding in the development of tangible life skills while offering support throughout the process.
I understand how difficult it can be to find the right therapist for you and how intimidating it can feel to discuss details on one’s life with another unknown individual. For this reason, I meet individuals where they are at and place patience and compassion at the forefront of treatment.
